The DiSTI Corporation today announced the retirement of Doug Classe, Director of Engineering, whose leadership and innovation have left a lasting impact on the company’s engineering and product development.
During his time at DiSTI, Doug was instrumental in defining the company’s engineering vision and advancing its expertise in graphical user interface development and simulation technology. As lead of the VE Studio development team, he guided the transformation of DiSTI’s flagship product into a leading platform adopted by organizations worldwide in aerospace, defense, automotive, and medical sectors.
Doug’s leadership helped drive significant advancements in VE Studio, strengthening DiSTI’s reputation as a global leader in embedded HMI development and simulation. His technical expertise, dedication to quality, and ability to inspire engineering teams have been instrumental in delivering cutting-edge solutions to DiSTI customers.
Reflecting on Doug’s impact, John Hayward, CEO of DiSTI, stated, “Doug’s leadership and technical expertise have played a critical role in shaping DiSTI’s engineering organization and the development of VE Studio. With Doug’s retirement, DiSTI is pleased to announce the promotion of Tim Rothenberger, currently an Engineering Manager II, into the role of Director of Engineering. Tim has been a key contributor to DiSTI’s engineering initiatives and brings deep technical knowledge and leadership experience to the position.
