Orlando, FL (February 23, 2016) – The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface development software to the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries announces a formalized partnership with Mobica. This is the first in a series of partnerships aimed at creating a network of companies with a global focus on excellence in user interface development.
Mobica is a global provider of high quality, leading edge software engineering, testing and consultancy services. Mobica has exhibited proficiency in developing user interface applications using DiSTI’s GL Studio which powers the visual front end of today’s top performing clusters and infotainment systems. Applications built by Mobica, using GL Studio, seamlessly handle high performance graphics across multiple displays on a single system on a chip (SoC).
“DiSTI’s toolchain allows OEMs to create cutting edge user experiences; Mobica’s embedded software engineering expertise will bring these experiences to consumers rapidly, to a high level of quality, whilst exploiting the underlying SoC’s performance-enhancing technologies,” said Jim Carroll, CTO Mobica. “We are pleased to be a key part of DiSTI’s Partner Program, and look forward to deploying these solutions in a broad range of devices.”
In their latest collaboration, DiSTI built their runtime engine to run on the Renesas R-Car H3, which is the third generation R-Car SoC, using their user interface software, GL Studio. The display built by Mobica is an HD cluster and an HD infotainment system running on a single R-Car H3 system. The application will be showcased at the DiSTI UI Experience booth #4-616 at the 2016 Embedded World conference in Nuremberg in February and at the Automotive Megatrends Connected Car event in Dearborn in March.
“The Mobica management team, UI Designers, and HMI Engineers are highly skilled and have an excellent grasp on using GL Studio to produce forward-looking high-performing user interfaces,” said Christopher Giordano, Vice President, DiSTI Automotive Division. “Our successful collaboration on our previous endeavours made the decision to formalize a partnership an easy one.”
