MTI recognized DiSTI as one of the top simulation and training companies and also awarded DiSTI with the Best Programs award. Each year, Military Training International reviews the global simulation and training community, assesses their contributions and produces their industry recognized Top Simulation & Training Companies list.
MTI surveys the global simulation and training industry on key simulation and training programs, corporate competencies, innovation, and best programs. DiSTI submitted the UH-72A contract for the Best Programs award category.
DiSTI delivered a virtual maintenance trainer (VMT) for the U.S. Army’s UH-72A Lakota helicopter. The VMT has been successfully integrated into the Army’s maintenance training program. The VMT includes twelve interactive student workstations networked with an Instructor/Operator station and an additional “hangar” workstation. Prior to the VMT, training was performed in UH-72A fleet in an FAA approved environment. Students can now train in a safer environment and train through a wider variety of scenarios that can be easily reset. The DiSTI-built VMT provides a virtual interactive workspace designed to support the performance of UH-72A maintenance tasks to task standards.
