DiSTI Awarded Quality Management System Certification

Upgrades to the latest 2015 version of the ISO 9001 Standard

Orlando, FL (August 2, 2018) – The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface software and customized 3-D virtual maintenance training solutions, announces their successful transition to ISO 9001:2015. This is a testament to DiSTI’s dedication to exceeding customer requirements, on time delivery, innovation, continuous improvement, and monitoring customer satisfaction effectiveness.

ISO 9001 has always been a tool that provides guidance for companies who want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved. ISO 9001 is typically revised every 5-10 years, to keep it current and relevant for the marketplace. The 2015 version is designed to respond to the latest trends and be compatible with other management systems. DiSTI has been an ISO 9001 certified company since 2015.

Last year, DiSTI underwent a transition audit from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, well ahead of ISO 9001:2008’s obsolescence date (September 14, 2018). This year, DiSTI had a re-certification audit, meaning that DiSTI underwent a more in-depth full system audit for its re-certification than a normal annual surveillance audit. DiSTI passed with no significant issues identified for remediation.

DiSTI recertification audit was conducted by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc., an accredited certification body. The audit validated improvements to the DiSTI quality program in keeping with the ISO 9001:2015 standard’s ‘process’ oriented approach with additional focus on risk-based thinking, expanding to a broader organizational context, addressing needs and expectations of interested parties, and collection and sharing of organizational knowledge.
