DiSTI Founders Started a Virtual Maintenance Training Revolution

DiSTI’s Founders (from left to right) Darren Humphrey, Bill Andrews, and Joe Swinski

Because our company culture promotes openess, we want to include you in the conversation. The DiSTI Blog is a place where you can read our latest news, hear from our experts on technical advice, and take a break with some fun stories.

In case you didn’t know, DiSTI was initially launched as a side business by three co-workers at the Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) at the University of Central Florida. Joe Swinski, Bill Andrews, and Darren Humphrey developed simulation and training classes at IST and recognized this type of training would benefit the industry as a whole.

Fast-forward 20+ years and DiSTI has become the world leader in graphical user interface development software spanning market domains that include embedded systems graphics and virtual reality-based 3D maintenance training solutions in aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial and medical.
