DiSTI is a sponsor for several organizations that support STEM education related activities in the Central Florida region.

Central Florida STEM Education Council

The Central Florida STEM Education Council (CFSEC) is a collaborative effort between academia, industry, professional organizations and government, with a long term objective of increasing the technical workforce for the security and continued growth of the United States. CFSEC strives to develop a unified STEM program to include mass communication, mentorships, and resources for parents, students, and educators through on-line and event venues. To support their efforts, DiSTI founded the annual DiSTI Duffer charity golf tournament. All funds raised from the Duffer go directly to the CFSEC to support programs such as the US Army PEO STRI High School Engineering Internship and the YMCA Robotics Academy (pictured). These activities expose students to exciting hands on, mentor-based programs that build STEM skills. This year’s tournament will be held on October 10th.
