Overview
This course will allow the student to master the new revolution in the acquisition process. Attendees learn key concepts, benefits, and lessons learned in SBA and SMART. SBA is an acquisition process in which the DoD and industry are enabled by robust, collaborative use of simulation technology that is integrated across acquisition phases and programs. SMART is a process in which we capitalize on Modeling & Simulation (M&S) technology to address the issue of system development and life-cycle costs through the combined efforts of the requirements, training and acquisition communities. The purpose of this course is to substantially reduce the time, resources, and risk associated with the entire acquisition process while increasing the quality, military worth, and supportability of fielded systems.
This class takes place over a two day period.
