2. Live Rehearsal
From the Gladiators to business role-playing to military exercises and childhood education - explore the impact of live rehearsal.
3. Virtual Reality
Immersive devices, computer image generation, visualization techniques, digital environments and distributed worlds.
4. System Analysis
Operations research, game theory, Monte Carlo techniques, Lagrange Multipliers, QJM, and scientific approaches to decision-making.
5. Discrete Event Simulation
Event scheduling, activity scanning, process interaction, random numbers, random variates, simulation languages, modeling tools and parallel simulation.
6. Interoperability
From custom interfaces to standard protocols, service-based infrastructures, frameworks, and shared modeling environments.
7. Wargaming
Simulation as a real-time stimulus for decision-making, leadership development, and business prediction.
8. Entertainment
The tools of science, business, and the military move to computer games, video arcades, theme parks and the Internet.
INSTRUCTOR
ROGER SMITH is an award-winning simulation professional who is intimately involved in designing, developing, and fielding simulations to military and entertainment customers. He has contributed to JSIMS, WARSIM, NASM, TACSIM, AWSIM, Flight Simulators, and System Simulators.
