Ronald S. Wolff

Mr. Ronald S. Wolff is the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Chief Engineer for Modeling and Simulation. He is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise for the development and implementation of diverse training systems and technologies. In addition, Mr. Wolff represents the chief information officer in the development and evolution of the FLETC modeling and simulation program. Mr. Wolff began his modeling and simulation career in 1986 as an electrical engineer with the Naval Air Systems Command, Training Systems Division. Since that time he has worked extensively in the area of applied research and development for modeling and simulation applications. While at NAVAIR, Mr. Wolff held numerous technical and leadership positions including serving as the chief engineer for the Weapons Simulation, Testing and Training Laboratory. During this time, he was directly involved in development of over fifteen prototype training systems for both military and law enforcement applications. Mr. Wolff’s most recent interest includes human performance engineering, instructional design, and the identification and implementation of technologies supporting the effective use of gaming technology. Mr. Wolff has 9 patents, numerous publications, and has been recognized as a NAVAIR Senior engineer and Associate Fellow. He graduated with highest honors from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
