Elena G Bertozzi

Elena Bertozzi is a professor at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater where she teaches game and interactive media design and asks the question: How can we make digital environments that are compelling, challenging and fun? Fun is much harder than you think.

Her research focus is on play and gender and how they relate to technophilia, technophobia and competence. She is currently working on a paper exploring how masculinity is constructed and performed in the GTA games and a study of how cross-gender competition affects perfomance.

Creative work includes websites, interactive media design, artists' books, translations, and other writing.
