Charles Frye, CDR, USN (Ret) is the General Manager for the NOVONICS Corporation Orlando Office. He recently left the Navy after serving 25 years as a Naval Aviator. His last Navy assignment was at NAVAIR Orlando, Training Systems Division, where he was the Program Manager for the Microsimulator Program. The Microsimulator Program was the first-of-its-kind partnership between Microsoft's gaming sector and the DoD, which leveraged Microsoft Flight Simulator into a desktop PC based simulation to support primary Naval Aviation training. This technology resulted in a 17% improvement in performance by providing flight students the ability to practice maneuvers on a desktop simulation prior to an aircraft event. He was awarded the Navy proven subspecialty codes in Operations Research and Modeling and Simulation. He received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Florida and M.S. in Operations Research/Systems Analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School.
