DiSTI Advances the Next Generation of Human Interface Design with GL Studio 3.2

ORLANDO, FL February 6, 2006 - The DiSTI Corporation (DiSTI) a leading provider of Human Interface Design and Prototyping software, today announced the release of GL Studio 3.2, the latest in a line of technology innovations that have brought unprecedented realism to the HMI market at a fraction of the development time and cost previously required.

Our engineers have been tirelessly working to bring our customers a fantastic combination of new tools, reduced compile times, better application performance, new embedded platform support, more licensing options and improved workflow. Many of the new GL Studio 3.2 features were created from direct customer requests originating in many of the world's best, most innovative, simulation development firms. DiSTI prides itself on being a customer service driven developer that works hard to listen to our customers needs and address them quickly with high quality, cutting edge tools.

In addition to these new tools, GL Studio 3.2 also provides a number of enhancements in both productivity and runtime performance. These enhancements are designed to reduce content production time as well as further strengthen the market leading runtime performance of GL Studio applications.

New GL Studio Tools
GL Studio 3.2 is accompanied by a number of new tools and supported environments including a DO-178B Code Generator which is now integrated into the GL Studio Editor. This in conjunction with the latest releases of the DO-178B runtime libraries for Green Hills Integrity®, LynxOS®, and VxWorks® provides even greater deployment options and reusability for your safety critical applications.

Improved workflow
Some of the most powerful new technology in GL Studio 3.2 revolves around improving the development workflow and user productivity with new editor and runtime features. This has always been a key strength of GL Studio and with GL Studio 3.2, a range of new features makes content production faster than ever.

At the top of the list are features supporting texture scaling, optimizing and packaging without modifying source images, allowing users to easily deploy GL Studio designs at multiple resolutions. Object editing has become more efficient thanks to new editor tools such as the new Scale Transform Tool. Event processing has been enhanced with the addition of a new PostHandle callback which improves support for customized global event handing. A new Auto-link feature automatically includes the correct GL Studio libraries based on your compiler settings, simplifying project configuration.

Reduced compile times
GL Studio 3.2 includes several enhancements to improve compiler performance including smart header generation which significantly improves compile times on large projects. GL Studio 3.2 also utilizes new optimization flags which tell the compiler which sections of code to focus on, improving optimized build compile times.

Better application performance
GL Studio 3.2 includes several enhancements designed to improve the runtime performance of your project. New runtime library optimizations allow your application to run faster with reduced system memory usage while new hardware texture compression options reduce video card memory usage. Many of these features leverage new technology developed as part of the next generation DO-178B runtime libraries.

More licensing options
GL Studio 3.2 provides new licensing options that improve customer development and deployment flexibility. Dongle licensing support will allow customers to float GL Studio licenses in environments where the traditional license server is impractical. GL Studio 3.2 also provides a new unlimited runtime license functionality which eliminates the need to manage multiple runtime libraries and project settings. Customers with active maintenance will be receiving boxed versions of this new release free of charge. A downloadable version can also be accessed through the GL Studio support site. If your maintenance has lapsed, please contact your DiSTI sales representative to re-establish your access.
